Christine Loh; CEO, Civic Exchange

Christine Loh, JP, OBE, is the founder and CEO of the non-profit think tank, Civic Exchange, which is based in Hong Kong.

Ms Loh is a lawyer by training, a commodities trader by professional, and had a highly successful career as a politician. She was a member of the Hong Kong Legislative Council from 1992-1997 and 1998-2000. She founded Civic Exchange in 2000 to focus on policy research work. She has authored many research reports and books, and is an internationally recognized expert in environmental protection, climate change, urban planning, equal opportunity and political reform. Her wide-ranging expertise makes her a sought-after speaker and presenter on many subjects. She is a director of the Hong Kong Mercantile Exchange, and also serves on a variety of non-profit boards around the world. She was name a Hero of the Environment by TIME in 2007.
