Shamhbala Social Enterprise is dedicated to action for ethnic diversity and cultural sustainable development. Shambhala supports this cause through a unique approach that first establishes a heritage boutique hotel or eco-tourism lodge, which then serves as a flagship for integrated programs for microfinance, heritage and environmental restoration, medical and educational outreach in the surrounding regions. While profits from the heritage boutique hotels are completely re-invested through the above mentioned micro-equity projects to support the localized Consensus Communities, the Shambhala umbrella organization ultimately depends on individuals who believe in what we’re doing, who attend our events and who contribute financially through donations or honorarium for founder and author, Laurence Brahm's speaking engagements.
